Limelight Networks: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ Limelight Networks Inc. (LLNW) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $7.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Tempe, Arizona-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense, came to 3 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 1 cent per share.
The network services company posted revenue of $45.9 million in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $47.3 million.
Limelight Networks expects full-year revenue in the range of $200 million to $210 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company’s shares hit $2.73. A year ago, they were trading at $4.77.
