Kenneth Dietrich, 70, Mayville
Kenneth L. Dietrich, 70, rural Mayville, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 13, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
A funeral service will take place Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Community Center in town of Herman with the Rev. Jeffery Drake officiating. A visitation will take place Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 4-8 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville and again Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at Trinity Community Center in town of Herman. Burial will take place at Zum Kripplein Christi Cemetery.
Ken was born the son of Ervin H. and Etta Mae (Bowden) Dietrich on Jan. 17, 1948, in Marshfield. He was a graduate of Lomira High School in 1967. Ken was united in marriage to Florence Christian on Aug. 15, 1970, at Zum Kripplein Christi Evangelical Lutheran Church. He spent his life dairy farming in rural Mayville. In his spare time he enjoyed deer hunting and visiting with his neighbors. Family was very important to Ken and he cherished the time spent with them. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Huilsburg.
Ken is survived by his wife, Florence of Mayville; his children, Chad (Bobbie) Dietrich of Iron Ridge, Tracy (Richard) Gerth of Kekoskee and Carrie (Jay) Ripple of Mayville; his grandchildren, Ashley (special friend Nicholas Johnson) Dietrich, Mark (fiance Morgan Antonioni) Dietrich, Rebecca Dietrich, Dylan Dietrich, Cora Gerth, Mason Gerth, Makayla Ripple, Mitchell Ripple and Mariah Ripple; his brothers, Orville Dietrich of Jefferson and Arnold Dietrich of Madison; his sister, Marlene Drake of Portage; his sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Gwyn) Held, LaMae Jacobs and Patricia (Randall) Sternberg. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lucille Fischer; brothers, Ervin and Ronald Dietrich; twin boys in infancy; and stepmother, Frances Dietrich.
