Meyersdale magistrate report: May 15

Staff WriterMay 16, 2019

The following preliminary hearing is scheduled before District Judge Douglas McCall Bell in Meyersdale:

Drug paraphernalia possession

Carter Stull, 20, Grant Street Extension, Meyersdale, was charged Tuesday with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, drug paraphernalia possession and disorderly conduct. Trevor Sanner, 21, Lincoln Avenue, Meyersdale, was charged with drug paraphernalia possession and disorderly conduct. According to a probable-cause affidavit, Sanner was spotted placing a black bag in weeds near Stull’s house on Saturday afternoon. Meyersdale Borough police investigated and found a flower pot containing a marijuana plant. Sanner told police he carried the plant from Stull’s house because he knew the police were looking for another occupant of the house and “they didn’t want to get caught with it,” according to the affidavit. Stull said that the plant was his and that he had asked Sanner to take it out of his house so his grandmother wouldn’t find it. Police later searched Stull’s bedroom and found a black safe filled with drug paraphernalia, according to the affidavit. A hearing is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. June 13.
