20-year-old inmate escapes from Nebraska work camp

A 20-year-old inmate with a year left before he was eligible for parole escaped Thursday night from a minimum security facility in southwest Nebraska.

Christian Reinke escaped about 8:20 p.m. from the Work Ethic Camp near McCook. He was serving time for a burglary in Nuckolls County and receiving stolen goods in Sarpy County.

He was eligible for parole in 2019. His tentative release date was in December 2022.

Anyone with information about Reinke’s whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
