WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — Police say a driver who was involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian in Warwick has been arrested.
Warwick Police said Sunday that 58-year-old James Pinel, of West Warwick, Rhode Island, was charged with failing to stop in an accident resulting in personal injury or death.
Police say 31-year-old Eduardo Amaral, of Warwick, remains in the hospital in stable condition after he was hit Wednesday evening.
Pinel was arraigned in a special session of District Court and released on $2,000 with surety.
Online court records do not list an attorney for Pinel who could comment on his behalf.
