Giants Shut Down Cairn

Mac Oribello scored 15 points to lead Keystone College to a 53-48 win over Cairn University in a women’s basketball game Thursday. The Giants (7-6) held Cairn to 8 of 30 shooting in the first half to build a nine-point halftime lead. Samy Farah had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Giants and Faith Shiffer had 11 points and eight rebounds. Cedar Crest 45 Clarks Summit 35 At Allentown, Meghan Gregory had 28 points and 12 rebounds to lead Cedar Crest College. The Falcons held Clarks Summit to 23 percent shooting in the game, including 4 of 19 on 3-pointers. Lakeland graduate Natalie Tuffy scored 11 points for Clarks Summit (0-13) and Dani Mansberger had 10. Men’s basketball Rashann Bean scored 24 points to lead Wilson College to a 79-69 win over Keystone College. Wilson trailed by five at halftime, but shot 44 percent in the second half, including 7 of 15 on 3-pointers. Ray Mills scored 14 points for Keystone (0-15) and Jalen Flynn and Austin Smith each scored 12. Cairn 72, Clarks Summit 51 At Langhorne, Jeremiah Harris scored 14 points and Jordan Koczman had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead Cairn University. The Highlanders led by six at halftime and held Clarks Summit to 29 percent shooting in the second half. Marcus Dixon had 13 points for the Defenders (0-14). ASA 102, Lackawanna 94 At Brooklyn, New York, Talek Williams had 50 points and eight rebounds for Lackawanna College in a loss to ASA College.
