CLEVELAND, Ohio – Summer learning can be fun – at least at the Great Lakes Science Center.

This weekend the Science Center is throwing a before-school-starts bash called Science Splash, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, August 4 and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 5.

Hands-on activities include building your own wind-powered boat to a race in an engineering Boat Float challenge; sampling liquid nitrogen ice cream; exploring chemistry in a BASF Bubbles activity; and demonstrations to learn about adhesion vs. cohesion and the “Wonders of Water.” An “explosive” Big Science Show will be presented outside on the harbor.

Summer Science Splash extra activities are included with paid general admission: $13.95 children 2- 12; $16.95 adults. Hours: Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Visit GreatScience.com for a complete detailed schedule of activities and more information.
