Police identify man found shot to death in bus shelter
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Hartford police have identified a 49-year-old city man who was found shot to death in a transit bus shelter.
Police say Shawn Robin Rhodes was shot twice and his body was found by a pedestrian early Monday in the bus shelter near Pope Park. Officers and paramedics were called to the scene at about 2 a.m.
No arrests or a motive have been announced.
Lt. Paul Cicero says police believe Rhodes was specifically targeted and the public is not at risk. He says detectives are interviewing people in the area and will be reviewing nearby surveillance video.
Rhodes was the city’s 19th homicide victim of the year.
