30K expected at 40th annual Old Port Festival
PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — More than 30,000 people are expected at the 40th annual Old Port Festival in Maine’s largest city.
The festival kicks off at 11 a.m. Sunday in Portland with a parade and continues until 5 p.m. in the city’s Old Port area.
Organizers call the event the largest one-day festival in northern New England, drawing crowds with six stages of live music, food, activities, and arts and crafts.
The event is free to the public and is held rain or shine.
