Oakridge beats Oakland in three

OAKLAND — Raelynn Hammock had 12 kills and 10 digs, leading Oakridge past Oakland on Tuesday night in a Central Valley Conference volleyball match at the Nut House.

Set scores were 25-19, 25-21, 25-11.

Maiah Flack contributed 14 assists and Sierra Cargil made 13 digs for the Warriors (14-4, 8-1 CVC).

Hannah Cagle had 11 digs for the Oakers (2-13, 1-8). Kaylee Simonson contributed five digs and two aces, Aubry Brownson chipped in seven assists and two kills, and Taylor Yard had three kills and three blocks.

“The first two sets we fought well, but came out flat in the third set,” said Oakland coach Christina Walker-Clark. “Everybody worked together as a team. We’re improving.”

The Oakers travel to Jefferson Thursday.
