City of Florence to close offices, courts Friday as it moves to emergency operations

FLORENCE, S.C. - In preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Florence off the coast of South Carolina, the City of Florence will assume an emergency operations status beginning Friday. City offices will be closed, however, emergency personnel will be available to respond as needed as long as weather conditions allow.

Please note the following:

City Court will be cancelled on Friday, September 14, 2018. Those with scheduled court appearances on Friday will receive a letter notifying you of a new court date.Sanitation collection services will continue regular routes as long as road and weather conditions allow.

The City would like to provide residents and visitors with phone numbers to call for non-emergency events such as water or sewer service disruptions, downed trees, flooded or blocked streets, and other public safety concerns. For non-emergency calls, please use 843-665-3191 or 843-665-3236. In the event there are outages in our area and these land lines no longer work, please use 843-495-0216 or 843-495-0320. As always for emergencies, please dial 911.
