Grab your pass: Dive into beach season in Greenwich

Ken BorsukMay 24, 2019

GREENWICH — After a long winter and a rainy spring, beach season has officially arrived in Greenwich.

Saturday marks the official start of the season at Greenwich Point, Byram Beach and the municipal pool in Byram. The beach season lasts until Sept. 2, taking the town from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

On May 1, the town resumed checking beach passes, which are required for entering the beaches and pool during the season. Seasonal passes can be purchased through the town’s Parks and Recreation Department and require proof of Greenwich residency.

Seasonal passes grant access to Greenwich Point, Byram Beach, all of the town’s parks and the pool, which is open for its second season. Passes cost $35 each for residents ages 16 to 64, $7 each for kids ages 5 to 15, and free to seniors and children under 5.
