PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Matt Harpring, who was acquired by Philadelphia from Cleveland in a trade this month, underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove bone spurs from his right ankle.

The 90-minute procedure was performed Friday at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Dr. Sam Labib, the surgeon who performed the operation, said he expects Harpring to make a full recovery.

``He should be ready for contact in four weeks, in plenty of time to compete at full strength at training camp,'' Labib said.

The 76ers acquired Harping, Cedric Henderson and Robert Traylor for Tyrone Hill and Jumaine Jones on Aug. 3.

Harping had surgery on his left ankle Jan. 11. He played 56 games for the Cavaliers after returning, and averaged 11.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
