Norfolk Catholic girls basketball knocks off LHNE; runs personal win streak to seven
The Norfolk Catholic girls basketball team knocked off Lutheran High Northeast 49-34 last night at home.
The Lady Knights outscored the Lady Eagles 30-12 during the second and third quarters. Hanna Neesen scored 14 points with two steals and teammate Anna Kassmeier added twelve points, seven rebounds, and three steals to the win for Norfolk Catholic. Lutheran High Northeast’s Becca Gebhardt had 13 points and five boards while teammate Chloe Spence netted eleven points, four rebounds, two steals, and two blocked shots. The Lady Knights improve to 2-4 on the season while the Lady Eagles dropped their fourth game in a row to fall to 1-4. Norfolk Catholic now leads the head-to-head matchup between the two teams 10-1 dating back to 2005 including winning the last seven meetings.
