Kavulich Still Recovering From Heart Surgery
SCRANTON — State Rep. Sid Michaels Kavulich remained hospitalized today in Philadelphia, a day after another surgery to deal with complications from heart surgery last week, his daughter, Loni Loiselle, said.
Loiselle said doctors remain optimistic about her father’s recovery. Her father, who slips in and out of consciousness, is scheduled for another surgery today to deal with blood clots.
“We just ask everyone continues to pray for him or send good thoughts to him,” she said.
Kavulich, 62, of Taylor, underwent surgery Thursday to replace an aortic valve, but surgeons encountered complications related to an aortic aneurysm corrected 11 years ago.
Kavulich represents the 114th state House district.
