Hanover Area Superintendent’s Son Hired As Teacher
HANOVER TWP. -- The Hanover Area School Board voted Monday night to hire the superintendent’s son as a secondary social studies teacher.
The board voted 5-2 to hire Jared Jones with a starting annual salary of $45,898. Two board members were absent.
After the meeting, Superintendent Bill Jones said he was not involved in the interviews for the open position or the recommendation to hire his son. The principal, assistant principal and department head at the junior/senior high school made the hiring recommendation, Bill Jones said.
