Kankakee soccer to hold inaugural Play for a Cause Day
Kankakee’s soccer program will spend Sunday holding a new charity event for the area.
The inaugural Pause for a Cause Day will take place at the Kankakee High School football field from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The program is raising money for Donate Life America, a nonprofit organization working to raise awareness on the importance of organ donation.
Activities Sunday include: kids soccer clinics for all ages; kids events, such as bounce houses and face painting; food; a seven-on-seven tournament broken up into junior high and high school age groups; and varsity and junior varsity girls soccer game, where the teams will take on their families.
