Deputies seek help solving Fort Mohave burglary
FORT MOHAVE — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has asked for the public’s assistance in searching for a vehicle used in the burglary of a Fort Mohave business last week.
On Thursday, deputies responded to an automatic alarm at a business in the 5200 block of Highway 95 around 3:40 a.m. They arrived at a convenience store on the property and found a broken window leading into the store and merchandise scattered on the floor.
Surveillance video showed an unidentified person using a crow bar or similar item to break the window and crawl inside.
Once inside the store, the suspect unlocked the front door and removed an unspecified number of cartons of cigarettes from behind the register, putting them into a silver Nissan Sentra.
Video showed the vehicle with a black cargo carrier on top, a black front bumper and no license plate.
The suspect was described as wearing a red, hooded sweater or sweatshirt, a black hat with a sticker or emblem on the bill, dark pants, gloves and a yellow piece of cloth covering the face.
