Generation Park schedules spring opening for new farmers market
A farmers market is in the works at Generation Park. The Market at Redemption Square is expected to open sometime this spring, according to Generation Park officials.
Although the farmers market will be located in Generation Park, it will be open to the entire Lake Houston area, Generation Park’s Marketing Director Ian Adler said.
“We are invested in bringing great events to the Lake Houston region and noticed there wasn’t a central market for the community to participate in,” Adler said. “They were scattered about in various neighborhoods throughout the community. We wanted to create a central market that everyone can come out and enjoy with their friends and family.”
Adler said they are still working on the grand opening date for the monthly farmers market. Generation Park officials are working on securing committments from a mix of local vendors to come sell their products at the farmers market, he said.
Vendors interested in participating in the Market at Redemption Square can sign up at the Generation Park website.
“As the market evolves we hope to continue to tweak the experience and the vendor mix to ensure we are consistently delivering a great market,” Adler said. “It will be another great outlet for people in the community to enjoy the outdoors in a beautiful environment.”
Generation Park is a mixed-use development that features retail, industrial, Class A office spaces in addition to multi-family and hotels. It is located at the southern intersection of Beltway 8 and West Lake Houston Parkway.
