12-Year-Old Finds $1,000-Lottery Ticket in Trash Bin
ASHLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Twelve-year-old Ryan Wiles has a habit that really stinks, but right now, he’s the most popular student at his school.
Ryan said he searches for old lottery tickets almost every day in a convenience store garbage bin near his house. Last summer, he found a Bingo scratch-off ticket worth $40. Last week, he found a ticket worth $1,000.
``I’m the most popular kid in my school,″ the sixth-grader said. ``I have people coming up to me saying `Hey, we’re best friends, right?‴
He said he’ll spend about $100 from the Money Game ticket and put the rest in the bank.
