Police seeking community help locating missing 20-year-old Graniteville man

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the community with any information that could help find a 20-year-old Graniteville man recently reported missing and considered to be “endangered person.”

Derrick Jai Curry was reported missing Wednesday, May 1. Members of his family filed a missing personal report for Curry after speaking with deputies on the matter, seeking assistance after their attempts to find Curry’s whereabouts were unsuccessful.

The last time Curry was reportedly seen was around 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the area around the Minit Shop at 2345 Augusta Rd. in Warrenville, according to a release provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

Since Curry’s last reported sighting, any attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful, police said.

Investigators also reported Curry’s relatives labeled his disappearance as “suspicious in nature.”

Curry is known to only frequent local areas within Aiken County, rarely traveling outside county lines, investigators said.
