Rudolph Technologies: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
WILMINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Rudolph Technologies Inc. (RTEC) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $5.5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Wilmington, Massachusetts-based company said it had profit of 18 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 29 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 27 cents per share.
The maker of equipment to help chip manufacturers test for defects posted revenue of $61.5 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $62.6 million.
Rudolph Technologies shares have increased 40% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $28.70, falling slightly in the last 12 months.
