Women in Leadership to host tech seminar

WESTVILLE — Women in Leadership of La Porte County (WILL) is hosting a tech seminar, “Claiming Your Online Presence for Yourself and Your Business.”

This year’s topic is one of increasing importance in today’s work world.

Seth Spencer, founder and CEO of SERA Solutions, an industry-leading digital marketing agency and Google Partner located in Michigan City, will facilitate the workshop on Aug. 14 at the Purdue Northwest Campus in Westville.

Participants can expect to learn:

• How to use online tools and social media to position yourself and your business for success.

• How to claim your digital space for the company’s website.

• How to advertise in a digital environment.

• How to use analytics to grow your customer base.

The seminar will be held Aug. 14 at Purdue Northwest Campus—James B. Dworkin Complex, 1401 U.S. 421, Westville. Registration and breakfast buffet will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m., and the event will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Q&A session from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Participants should bring a laptop for a hands-on learning experience.

This workshop is being underwritten by Horizon Bank and Google Partner.

Seth Spencer is responsible for leading a team of software developers and digital marketers to develop and execute digital marketing strategies for businesses across the United States.

Spencer has been featured as a national entrepreneur success story by SCORE, the nation’s largest network of expert business mentors and was recognized as the 2017 Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Indiana Small Business Development Center Northwest. His experience spans various marketing and technology solutions that focus on preparing organizations for the digital era.
