Dallas Cowboys sign receiver LaRon Byrd
IRVING, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys have signed receiver LaRon Byrd.
Byrd’s deal was announced Thursday, a week before the start of the NFL draft.
Byrd originally signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent two years ago.
After playing in four games with one catch as a rookie in 2012, the 6-foot-4 Byrd spent all of last season on reserve/injured list after a concussion during the preseason. He was released by the Cardinals on April 4.
Byrd played collegiately at Miami, where he had 106 catches for 1,254 yards with seven touchdowns in 51 games.
