Campbellsport man named as fatal crash victim
LOMIRA – A 41-year-old Campbellsport has been identified as the man who died in a crash on Interstate 41 at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.
Cale C. Dietrich was driving a pickup truck north in the southbound lanes on Interstate 41 near Highway 28 when he struck a semi truck traveling south and died as a result of the crash, according to a press release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
Dietrich was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The Peterbilt driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital. The name of the driver is being withheld.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
It is the first fatal crash in Dodge County in 2019.
