LOMIRA -- A 26-year-old Milwaukee man remains in a Milwaukee hospital today following a crash Sunday afternoon outside the town of Lomira.
Wisconsin State Patrol Sgt. Nathan Wright said late Monday morning the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Interstate 41 when he exited the freeway and was headed to a rest stop. Wright said the man lost control of his motorcycle on the exit ramp and suffered serious to possible life threatening injuries. The crash happened at 3:42 p.m.
Flight For Life was called to the scene to take the motorcyclist to a Milwaukee hospital.
Wright said despite repeated warnings from the Wisconsin State Patrol this motorcyclist wasn’t wearing a helmet.
He said speed may have played a factor in the crash.
