WVC BASEBALL ROUNDUP: Kelleher Caps Of Wyoming Area Rally

At Valley West, Wyoming Area scored four in the seventh to rally past the host Spartans 5-3 on Tuesday.

The big hit came from Jake Kelleher, who singled with the bases loaded, driving in three to push Wyoming Area ahead.

Valley West held a 3-1 lead going into the seventh before the rally began.

JJ Hood pitched two hitless innings of relief to get the win.

Michael Kane drove in all three runs for Valley West.

At Berwick, the Bulldogs handed Hazleton Area only its second loss of the season.

The Bulldogs trailed by a run after three innings before their offense caught fire, scoring four in the fourth and five in the fifth.

Ian Kishbaugh had a three- RBI day to lead the Bulldogs. Kaleb Gearinger and Nick Feudale each had three hits with an RBI on the day. Mark McCracken added two hits for Berwick.

James Vozar and Gavin McGowan each had three hits for Hazleton Area.

At Dallas, Cole Cherkas went 4 for 4 with a double, home run, four RBIs and two runs scored to help Pittston Area snap a two-game losing streak.

Hunter Ralston picked up the win, tossing all six innings holding Dallas to only three hits while striking out four. He also had two hits and two RBIs at the plate. Andrew Krawczyk had two hits and scored twice.

Cooper Lewis, Mike Luksic and Zach Luksic each had a single for Dallas.

The Preppers broke a tie game with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth.

A.J. Jordan, Ethan Warner and David Castro all had two hits for the Preppers. Castro finished with four RBIs.

Danchision pitched two innings of relief to get the win.
