STRATTON, Vt. (AP) _ Talk about sibling rivalry: John McEnroe squares off against brother Patrick in the first round of the Volvo International Tennis Tournament this weekend.

By the luck of the draw, John McEnroe, top seed in the $315,000 tournament, was paired with Patrick, a wild seed and a member of the U.S. Junior Davis Cup Boys’ team in 1984.

The highlight of the draw ceremony in Stratton Mountain’s 10,260-seat stadium was a parachutist flown in to decide who No. 3 seed Jimmy Connors would play - either John McEnroe or No. 2 seed Ivan Lendl.

The parachutist landed outside the stadium, but on Lendl’s side of the court, meaning Connors would play Lendl if both reached the semifinals.

NEW YORK (AP) - Rock star Madonna has failed to keep a producer-director from using her name to promote a film she made as a teen-ager that features her in the nude.

State Supreme Court Justice Ira Gammerman ruled Friday against the singer of hits such as ″Like a Virgin″ and ″Material Girl″ and in favor of Stephen Jon Lewicki. The Supreme Court is a trial-level court in New York.

After nude photos of Madonna appeared in Playboy and Penthouse magazines last month, she said she had done nothing to be ashamed of. But she said she feels differently about ″A Certain Sacrifice,″ an hourlong production Lewicki shot for $20,000 six years ago.

Madonna, whose full name is Madonna Louise Ciccone, said the movie ″is a poor-quality, mediocre film. ... My performance was second-rate.″

Jackson, 26, who wears a trademark sequined glove on his right hand, was back at work Friday on a science fiction movie, directed by Francis Coppola for Walt Disney Productions.

He was filming the short 3-D musical ″Captain Eo″ at Laird Studios on Tuesday when he was pushed against an object during a dance sequence. The hand ″should go on to heal without any significant disability,″ said Hoefflin.
