Congress Should Get To Work

November 17, 2018

Editor: Congratulations to the newly elected Democratic House of Representatives. I am looking forward to all the bipartisan accomplishments to come: immigration, health care, infrastructure, for example. Oh wait, two days after the midterm election, the Democrats are calling for the recusal of the interim attorney general appointed by President Trump. Why? He appeared on CNN and gave his opinion regarding the Mueller probe. Is this a disqualifying factor? I believe the next two years will be a constant uphill battle on both sides. Regardless of your party affiliation, the American people want to see something accomplished. The dueling Democrats need to realize that two years goes rather quickly. Unless they have a powerhouse candidate in their back pockets, President Trump will be a formidable force to defeat. Fran Spencer NANTICOKE
