Driver hits mailbox, passes out in Old Greenwich: cops
GREENWICH — Police said a motorist crashed his vehicle in Old Greenwich, drove off, then passed out under the influence of drugs.
Authorities said Brian Dorsi, 32, of East Ave., West Haven, struck a mailbox at Edgewater Drive Wednesday afternoon and kept driving. About a quarter of a mile away, on Lockwood Drive, police said the car came to a stop.
“The operator was found in his running vehicle, unconscious and unresponsive, slumped over the steering wheel,” according to the arrest report. There was damage to the front end of the car.
Dorsi was charged with driving under the influence, possession of narcotics, evading responsibility and failure to drive in-lane.
Bail was set at $500 and posted.
