An assistant director of residence life at Southern Connecticut State University is facing sexual assault charges.

Mark Parrott, 34, was identified by NBC CT as the SCSU employee who was charged in April with assaulting another staff member.

Court records show Parrott was charged April 18 by SCSU police with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of second-degree unlawful restraint in connection with incidents that occurred earlier in the month.

The school is conducting a Title IX investigation, NBC CT said.

Court documents show that the victim accused Parrott of locking his arms around their waist in an elevator after an event in the student center, and then later in the res-life office - even pinning the person to the wall, NBC CT said.

The victim told police it made them uncomfortable and they begged to be released, but he refused to let go.

Parrott is on administrative leave as an investigation by the school is being conducted, NBC CT said.
