Purse stolen from unlocked house; man drives on sidewalk: Brook Park police blotter
Burglary, Adair Court: A purse containing a wallet, credit cards and debit cards, and a pair of sunglasses, were reported stolen at about 1:55 p.m. Aug. 3 from an unlocked house. There were no signs of forced entry.
Operating a vehicle under the influence, West 130th Street-Middlebrook Boulevard: A 44-year-old man was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 8 after police caught him driving on a sidewalk at the corner of West 130th and Middlebrook.
The man was drunk. He pulled his car onto the sidewalk and stopped.
Marijuana possession, Shelby Drive: A Cleveland man, 18, was arrested at about 12:10 a.m. Aug. 3 after police found marijuana and a scale in his possession.
Someone called police after seeing the man sitting in a car parked in the street. The witness thought the man was suspicious. When police arrived, the man said he had been locked out of his home and was waiting for his father to arrive home. Police smelled marijuana and found two rolled marijuana cigarettes on the man.
Theft, Westbrook Drive: A package containing a physical therapy bike was reported stolen at about 3:25 p.m. Aug. 3 from a front yard. Amazon confirmed the package had been delivered.
Theft, Middlebrook Boulevard: A purse containing a driver’s license and prescription medication was stolen between 10:45 a.m. and 2:25 p.m. Aug. 5 from a bench in McGovern Park on Middlebrook.
The victim had accidentally left the purse behind. She returned to the park three hours later and the purse was gone.
Theft, Middlebrook Boulevard: Three rings, including wedding and engagement rings, were reported stolen at about 1:30 p.m. July 25 from a house. Police suspect a home health aide.
Theft, Snow Road: An unlocked bicycle was stolen between 2-3:30 p.m. July 31 from the parking lot of Rally’s, 14911 Snow.
