Body pulled from Androscoggin River
BOWDOINHAM, Maine (AP) — Authorities have pulled a dead body from the Androscoggin River in Bowdoinham but say the death does not appear suspicious.
Brunswick police say the body of a man in his 30s was pulled from the water near Brick Island just before noon Sunday. Rescue crews started their recovery efforts just after 10 a.m.
The body has been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta.
The man’s name was not immediately released pending notification of family.
