Subscription Service for Fido

December 6, 2018

If you have a dog, but don’t have your own backyard for he or she to “use” at bathroom time, or if you’re away when nature calls for your four legged friends, meet DoggieLawn.

A subscription-based service, DoggyLawn sends a patch of specially cultivated, soil-free grass -- nested in a leak-proof pan -- FedEx’d straight to your home whenever you need it.

According to the company, real grass breaks down odors, unlike puppy pads, and when a fresh patch arrives, you just toss out the old one. Because it’s real grass, you can even compost it.

The patches come in four different sizes, with subscriptions ranging in price from $26 to $58 a month. What’s more, the company donates a needed item to a dog shelter for each subscription.
