Human Remains Found Under Iowa House
REMSEN, Iowa (AP) _ Authorities found human remains embedded in concrete early Tuesday under the house of a man charged with murdering his 10-year-old son.
Authorities began tearing up the concrete floor with a jackhammer after Donald Boss Jr. said during a bond review hearing Monday that the body was under the floor of a room in the basement.
Authorities believe the remains are those of Boss’ son Timothy, who was believed to have been killed in February 2000. Authorities have not offered a motive for the killing.
Boss, 37, was arrested Jan. 2 after relatives in Michigan grew suspicious about Timothy’s absence and called police.
Boss invoked the Fifth Amendment when questioned further about Timothy’s death.
Timothy was one of four special needs children that Donald and Lisa Boss adopted. The couple already had seven children of their own. Lisa Boss fled to Montana when authorities began asking questions about Timothy’s whereabouts.
