IXONIA -- Ixonia Bank has announced that Anita Nelson recently joined the bank as its new assistant vice president of residential lending.

In this role, Nelson will assist customers with a variety of home loans, including mortgages, home equity loans, and some consumer loans.

“We are thrilled to have Anita join Ixonia Bank and add her experience and leadership to our team,” Dan Westrope, chairman and CEO of Ixonia Bank, said. “She is quickly making herself known for the superior level of service she provides to her clients in helping them achieve their goals in home-ownership.”

Nelson has been working in the banking industry for the past 22 years and has a strong background in retail banking management and residential lending. She comes to Ixonia Bank from a community bank in Washington County where she has most recently been overseeing the business operations of two branch locations and had also been serving as a lender.

“Nelson is very community-focused and has a strong background in civic activities and leadership,” a media release from the bank said. “She is currently serving as a co-chair of the bank’s Women in Business Initiative Team, which is focused on supporting women business owners and leaders in professional and personal growth.”

Nelson said it was clear from the beginning that Ixonia Bank was the right team for her to join because it is passionate about being actively involved and investing back into local communities.

“Additionally, I am excited about the opportunity to offer personalized loan guidance by assisting my clients in choosing the best home or construction loan for their personal situation,” she said.

Nelson currently resides in Fort Atkinson with her husband Chris and three children. While she dedicates a lot of time to helping others achieve home-ownership success, she still finds time to enjoy kayaking, golfing, traveling and cheering for the local sports teams.

She is based out of the Bank’s Watertown East office located at 109 Oakridge Court, Watertown.
