W. Va. Arsonist Charged
WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) _ A 22-year-old was charged with setting fire to the home of a man he says molested him when he was a teen-ager.
Clarence Scott of Bellaire, Ohio, was arraigned Wednesday on arson charges in the blaze, which caused moderate damage Tuesday to Neil Jason Williams’ house. No one was home at the time; Williams was in jail.
Williams, 46, was indicted Sept. 14 on 52 sex-related crimes against teen-age boys and is being held on $500,000 bail. Prosecutors wouldn’t say whether Scott was listed among his alleged victims.
``I set his house on fire in retaliation for what he did to me as a child,″ Scott told WTRF-TV.
Scott, the father of three children, said he was 13 when he was molested. He was jailed on $50,000 bail.
