Woman dies after jumping from van in Orange County
BREA, Calif. (AP) — A woman has died after police believe she jumped out of a moving minivan in Orange County.
Lt. Adam Hawley with Brea police says three women were passengers in the van being driven by a man when one of them opened a door and likely jumped out around 1:30 a.m. Monday.
He says the driver stopped soon after, let the other two women out of the van and left.
He was later tracked down to his home in the Los Angeles area and taken into custody for questioning.
Hawley says it’s unclear why the woman would have jumped from the van and that her body will be tested for drugs and alcohol.
He says the people in the van were acquaintances and had been at a park together.
