Pelosi: Share more Syria intelligence with public
WASHINGTON (AP) — The leader of the House Democrats says the public needs to hear more of the intelligence that led the Obama administration to conclude that Syrian President Bashar Assad killed hundreds of his people using chemical weapons.
Nancy Pelosi says Assad’s action is, in her words, ’behavior outside the circle of civilized human behavior and we must respond.”
The Democrat spoke after congressional leaders met at the White House with President Barack Obama on Tuesday. Obama has asked Congress to vote on authorizing punitive military strikes against the Syrian government in response to its alleged chemical weapons use.
