UPCOMING:

BILL COSBY

NORRISTOWN, Pa. — A publicist for the once-beloved Bill Cosby complained that his conviction and three- to 10-year prison term for sexual assault stem from a racist and sexist justice system, as the defense vowed to appeal the first celebrity trial of the #MeToo era. Cosby, 81, spent his first night alone in a Pennsylvania prison after being accustomed to a life filled with handlers and household help. He could eventually be sent to a state prison that has separate units for geriatric prisoners and programs for sex offenders. By Maryclaire Dale and Michael R. Sisak. AP photos and video.

PENNSYLVANIA DIOCESE-SEX ABUSE INVESTIGATION

PHILADELPHIA — The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Wednesday will hear oral argument about whether a report into child sexual abuse in the state’s Roman Catholic dioceses should name or identify priests who have challenged its accuracy.

PEOPLE-WILL SMITH

LITTLE COLORADO RIVER GORGE, Ariz. — Like a scene out of a high-octane action movie that he would star in, Will Smith celebrated his 50th birthday Tuesday by successfully bungee jumping from a helicopter near the Grand Canyon. AP photos and video.
