Westminster police have arrested suspects in a smash-and-grab burglary who could possibly be suspects in a rash of similar incidents up and down the Front Range, including in Boulder County.

Westminster police spokeswoman Cheri Spottke issued a release today saying police received several burglar alarms between the 13600 and 1440 block of Huron Street at 3 a.m. today.

A delivery driver in the area was able to provide police with a suspect vehicle description, and police found the vehicle and took the occupants into custody.

Police are not releasing any information on the suspects while they try to determine if they are responsible for a string of similar crimes along the Front Range.

“We are currently working with other agencies to see if our suspects might be responsible for crimes in other cities,” Spottke said in a statement. “This is an ongoing and complex investigation and at this time we are not releasing names or pictures of the suspects.”

Boulder police, Longmont police and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office have all reported instances of smash-and-grab burglaries in the fall. In all of the cases, businesses had windows or glass doors smashed in and cash or registers stolen.
