CONNECTICUT GOVERNOR-INAUGURATION

Ned Lamont will be sworn in as Connecticut’s governor Wednesday. The Democrat will take the oath of office in a 12:30 p.m. ceremony in Hartford, becoming the state’s 89th governor. Immediately following, there will be a 19-gun artillery salute outside, followed by an inaugural parade in front of the state Capitol, and a fly-over by the Connecticut National Guard. _ POLICE SHOOTING-NEW HAVEN: Authorities say a New Haven police officer shot and injured an armed person. Capt. Anthony Duff says officers were patrolling a neighborhood in the city Tuesday night when they observed a wanted suspect in the area. SENT.

_ MENHADEN HEALTH: One of the most important species of fish in the ocean’s food chain is getting a close look to help determine the health of its population. Two arms of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission are working on an assessment of the menhaden stock. SENT.
