Drunk woman causes scene at Home Days; man steals $100 in meat from Giant Eagle: Brook Park police blotter

Drunkenness-resisting arrest, Holland Road: A Cleveland woman, 26, was arrested at about 9:30 p.m. July 15 after she was found intoxicated and unable to care for herself at Brook Park Home Days on Holland.

The woman was in an area of an amusement ride where only employees are allowed. She refused to leave so workers called police, who forcibly removed her.

Theft, Snow Road: A Brook Park man, 31, was arrested at about 9:30 a.m. July 22 after he was caught stealing more than $100 in meat from Giant Eagle, 14650 Snow.

The man slipped the groceries into a Giant Eagle bag. He paid for one item at a self-pay register but didn’t pay for the meat. His image was captured on security video.

Burglary, Gateway Lane: Credit cards and $160 in cash were reported stolen at about 7:25 p.m. June 8 from a bedroom dresser in a condominium. Police believe the burglar gained entry by climbing to the roof and descending to the balcony.

Theft, Delores Boulevard: A package was stolen between 10:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. June 27 from a front porch. The victim had received email notification of the delivery.

Criminal damaging, Leslie Drive: Someone damaged the handle of a screen door to a house. It was reported at about 11:30 a.m. July 20. No one entered the home and nothing was missing.
