September 19, 2018

NORFOLK - Norfolk firefighters responded to a fallen tree branch full of bees Monday night.

According to Captain Lannce Grothe, the Norfolk Fire Division was dispatched to 918 South 4th Street after the tree branch fell on a house.

Grothe said the branch caused moderate damage to the porch and roof, and firefighters observed bees flying around the front porch area.

It took four firefighters and two rigs about an hour to control the bees and make sure they were gone.

The property sustained $5,000 of damage to the structure.
