Man pleads not guilty to child porn in fake Uber case
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A Rhode Island man accused of posing as an Uber driver and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl while recording it on his cellphone has pleaded not guilty to federal child pornography charges.
The Providence Journal reports 36-year-old Francis Scott, of Woonsocket, entered the plea Friday in U.S. District Court in Providence.
Scott is accused of offering the teenager a ride to her school on Feb. 14 and then assaulting her in a parking lot.
He was arrested Feb. 23. Authorities say three other women later came forward and reported assaults dating back to 2015.
