January 1, 2019

KINGSTON — Police arrested two people on drug and firearms charges Monday in Kingston.

Officers arrested Robyn Oelke, 23, and Brandon Malet, 23, both of Newitt Place, Kingston.

A search of their home on Monday yielded methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills, according to a press release.

Police also said they found a handgun in Malet’s car after a traffic stop on Dec. 28.

Oelke and Malet were arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Donald L. Whittaker and remanded to Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail each.

The arrests came after a two-month investigation by Kingston police and the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force.
