World Series trophy can be seen at MLB FanFest
Did you miss out on the chance to get a picture with the Stanley Cup? Take one with the Commissioner’s Trophy given to the team that wins the World Series instead.
Fans patiently waited to get their picture taken with the trophy Friday at MLB’s FanFest, located at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The convention runs through Tuesday and a ticket is required for entry.
To be able to pose with it, fans also have to sign up for the GEICO All-Star FanFest Experience Pass, which will provide a personal QR code.
“It’s thrilling,” said Jeff Hysen, a Silver Spring native.
The Stanley Cup, meanwhile, continues to tour the globe with winger Alex Chiasson getting a day with it in Montreal on Friday. The NHL’s trophy was recently in Russia and the Czech Republic.
Tickets to FanFest can be purchased here.
