COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Andrew Vinson allowed five hits in 7 2-3 shutout innings and Texas A&M beat Coastal Carolina 8-1 on Sunday in an NCAA regional elimination game.

Vinson improved to 5-2. Nick Banks and Logan Nottebrok homered for the Aggies.

A&M (47-12) has allowed only three runs over 32 innings in the regional, with a shutout over Texas Southern and a 2-1, 14-inning loss to California on Saturday night.

The Aggies will face Cal again Sunday night, in hopes of forcing a final title game Monday.

Coastal Carolina finished the season 39-21.
