Road work begins on I-64 in Boyd County
ASHLAND — A slide repair and paving project will impact Interstate 64 traffic in Boyd County between the Coalton and Cannonsburg interchanges in the coming weeks.
Beginning today, contractors will close the eastbound I-64 right lane at mile marker 182.5 just east of the U.S. 60-Coalton exit to repair a slide area adjacent to the highway’s shoulder.
After Memorial Day, May 27, full paving operations will begin along five miles of I-64 in Boyd County from mile markers 180 to 185 between the U.S. 60-Coalton and KY 180-Cannonsburg exits. Traffic will be restricted to one lane both eastbound and westbound in that area.
