LOWELL -- Lowell Catholic students will lace up their sneakers on Oct. 19 in an effort to raise more than $85,000 in support of their school community. This year’s “Raise the Roof” theme infuses a celebratory feeling to the event as construction continues on the Stevens Street campus.

In the student-led fundraising effort, each of Lowell Catholic’s students has taken on a personal goal to raise money in support of initiatives that directly benefit advancements in technology, student life activities and co-curricular clubs. Last year, students from the High School and Elementary School collaboratively raised more than $85,000.

During the annual event students are joined by faculty, staff and parent volunteers who help make it a festive and exciting day for all. LC’s elementary students enjoy activities around campus, while middle-school and high-school students take on the challenge of a three-mile hike around the Highlands section of Lowell.

If anyone is interested in helping to support Catholic education, no contribution is too big or too small. Donations for the “Raise the Roof” Walk-A-Thon campaign can be made at www.lowellcatholic.org/walk2018 , or by cash or check made payable to Lowell Catholic and mailed to Lowell Catholic, Attention: Advancement Office, 530 Stevens St., Lowell, MA 01851.
